Hereford Bulletin - Hereford Baseball

The Hereford High School Baseball Team would like to extend a sincere thank
you to Wheatley and Associates (www.wheatleyassociates.com) for the new shed at the baseball field. The Wheatley Associates crew made a real
impression in both their professionalism and quality. Wheatley Associates,
Executive & Project manager Mike Bishop came down looked at what we needed and really came through donating a crew and all materials for some well needed storage space. Wheatley Associates is truely a community business and really came through for the Hereford baseball team, helping to give them a facility they can be proud of.

I just want to extend my personal thanks for the work in making the
Hereford Baseball Equipment Shed a reality.   All I can say is that your
crew made a real impression in both their professionalism and quality. I
know Coach Hartshorn thought Nick was just great   -- as always, another
job done in “The Wheatley Way”.    It’s great to have the additional
storage space.

But for me the shed became more that just a place to put equipment – it
became the impetus for a group of 12 or so parents to get together on a
Saturday to put a coat of paint on the new shed and dugouts.    It helped
to build a sense of community.   It gave us all a chance to rollup our
sleeves and do some work together -- and in the process I had a chance to
meet and talk with parents, I’d only seen in passing.     More importantly
it became a very positive example for the kids – and for my own son in
particular.   It was a tangible example of the work it takes to make a
community. In fact, several kids were on hand to help. It was a great
day.    …. and I again have a face-full of paint to prove it.

If you get a chance, please stop by and take a look at the field.   The
dugouts and shed sport the bright colors of Hereford Maroon trimmed in
Hereford Gold.   I think it looks great.
